Construction Project Manager – Student Housing & Multifamily
Based in Austin
Company – Vertically integrated Real Estate firm
Fantastic opportunity to join dynamic and expanding real estate firm, with focus initially on high profile Student Housing and Multifamily projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery: feasibility, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Develop and manage project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource plans; oversee cost control, forecasting, and value engineering.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, legal teams, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor construction progress, perform schedule and risk management, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Handle permitting, inspections, quality assurance, and ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain documentation: RFPs, contracts, reports, site logs, change requests; chair project meetings and reports status updates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or related field.
- Experience:
- Proven track record delivering mid- to large-scale multifamily or student housing projects.
- Mixed‑use or lifestyle‑oriented housing is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Austin construction market is desirable.
- Certifications (preferred):
- PMP (Project Management Professional).
- CCM (Certified Construction Manager) from CMAA.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with PM software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, or CPMS platforms.
