The QIM ensures regulatory compliance by supporting survey preparation and maintenance, and promotes appropriate clinical outcomes by monitoring clinical performance and outcome data. The role involves evaluating and promoting efficient and effective care delivery systems.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in long-term care nursing management for over 5 years.
  • Over 2 years of Infection Prevention and Control experience in long-term care.
  • Prior experience as Director of Nursing is required.
  • Proven success in planning, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures.
  • Successful organization, dependability, and project management skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and judgments, and to build teams through collaboration.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • License, Certification & Registration

  • Current Massachusetts licensure, certification, and registration.
  • Certification in Infection Control.
  • Other Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize programs/committees.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong knowledge of the mental, physical, and psychological aspects of aging; desire to work with seniors.
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills.
  • Competency with Joint Commission standards.
  • Proficiency in MDS and computer technology.
  • Excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations, including interpretation and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of quality management/measurement to achieve customer satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and strategic objectives.
  • Willingness to travel more than 75% of the time, by private car and air travel.
