Overview: The Carpentry team is responsible for assistingthe Construction & Engineering team carry out a variety of tasks such as tidying up work areas, unloading materials, preparing worksites, cleaning debris, and executing other tasks as assigned. The Carpentry team is also responsible for providing Daily, Weekly & Monthly reports to their supervisor along with excellent customer to all staff of the Organization.Responsibilities: Primary:Assisting with plumbing, Door locks, installations, laying out of tools, and performing several other repairsTidying up and preparing work sites, while also ensuring that safety rules and regulations are strictly adhered toGetting rid of the trash, debris, and other potentially dangerous materials from Repair LocationServicing and operating power/hand tools, and several other construction equipmentAssisting the Facilities team in surveying to determine what materials are being kept or removed for an upgrade.Assist in preparing for any/all new projects.Provide Clear communication to direct supervisor.Works withfacility managers,Site Superintendent to manage projects;subcontractors, suppliers, and building officials to meet construction deadlines, architectural requirements, building codes and owner tenants/expectations.Schedule, plan and execute dailywork order repairs.Relate to clients with special needs.Good listening skills, since he or she must be able to follow instructions and ensure that they are executed efficiently and effectively.Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.Performs other duties as assigned.Work in the field and officeVisit other sites/offices as required.Other functions that may be required with this position include:People TeamworkBuilds relationships with other Housing works Departments and demonstrates excellent teamwork and growing this within the department and organization.Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, and communication with other staff.Provides excellent internal and external customer service; recognizes the needs of team members and is direct, specific, and non-punishing in communication and behaviors.Advocacy Participate in advocacy and direct action to end the twin crisis of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
