In this role you will assist the New York in-house legal team with multiple tasks including running and analyzing reports, processing accounts payables, and other office duties. You will manage paralegals and other administrative staff.Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Maintain smooth running of Legal office by organizing operations and procedures
  • Run, analyze and process metric reports to ensure that proper workflow is being adhered to and to provide metrics to the executive leadership
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the Legal office including Claims representatives, Attorneys, Paralegals, and the executive suite
  • Develop training program to ensure compliance with law firm policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Supervise support staff to ensure accuracy and high production levels
  • Conduct performance reviews, evaluations and yearly objectives of assigned staff members
  • Prepare memos and other correspondence
  • Schedule and manage quarterly staff meetings
  • Maintain vendor accounts
  • Review and approve supply requisitions and assign clerical functions
Qualifications And Education
  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of corporate and litigation practice
  • Relevant legal experience and knowledge of NY civil procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, typing, computer and phone skills
  • Proficient Computer Skills including extensive experience in Microsoft Word/ Excel/Outlook
  • Knowledge of a legal case management system, preferably Time Matters and Team Connect
  • Flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks and anticipate when help will be needed from department members
  • Team-oriented and able to share information, goals and opportunities

Salary Range: $80,000-$106,000 a year.
