Strategy Formulation and Implementation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Angola business unit aligned with Zutari's overarching goals and objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive landscape, and client needs to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and nurture client relationships to build a robust pipeline of projects aligned with the country strategy.
  • Understand client requirements, preferences, and expectations to deliver tailored solutions and drive client satisfaction.

Team Development:

  • Build and lead a strong management team to drive project, people, and financial performance within the country.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Project Delivery:

  • Ensure successful delivery of all projects within the country, adhering to timelines, quality standards, risk management, and financial performance metrics.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Resource Management:

  • Optimize the efficient use of office resources to align with current and future work demands, maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Allocate resources effectively, considering project priorities, staff capabilities, and budget
  • constraints.
  • Take accountability for the financial performance of the Angola business unit, including budget adherence and profitability targets. Accountable for the financial performance of the Country, in accordance with business plans and budgets (Profit and Loss Statement)
  • Monitor financial metrics, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial objectives.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Implement measures to enhance operational efficiency within the country, including proactive cost management initiatives.
  • Streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive operational excellence across all functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
  • Registered member of the Order of Engineers in Angola/Portugal
  • MBA or similar
  • At least 12 years of proven experience delivering engineering solutions to clients, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience working in the engineering or consulting industry in Angola or similar markets is preferred.
  • Must have a network, and experience working with, both private and government clients in the specified country or ability to.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a professional services environment with a focus on efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management, client services, and account management.
  • Strong understanding of professional services, business-to-business marketing, and brand development.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing client-centric strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and market and industry dynamics.
