This role involves serving as a firmwide resource on Global Customs & Trade matters, with exposure to a broad range of issues and projects. You will leverage your experience to add value for clients, manage risks related to global trade, especially customs and tariffs, and help launch and grow this practice area, with significant leadership opportunities. Import and export experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Identify and develop customs and trade opportunities
- Advise clients on global import/export strategies and compliance
- Build the Customs & Trade brand in the market
- Manage project delivery and implementation
- Conduct technical research to respond to client queries
- Advise on trade compliance and global trade advisory needs
- Develop strategies to manage duty costs, trade risks, and improve supply chain operations
- Stay current on trade developments and innovate service offerings
- Support new business development and maintain excellent client service
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's or advanced degree preferred
- U.S. Customs Broker License preferred
- Practical knowledge of import/export processes, trade procedures, and documentation
- Approximately 8+ years of experience in public service, consulting, or supply chain roles focused on international trade, customs, and excise
- Experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, BIS, OFAC, or DDTC
- Technical expertise in valuation, classification, origin, trade agreements, export controls, sanctions, etc.
- Strong background in international trade, policy, and relations
- Proven project management skills
- Ability to lead teams, deliver excellent client service, and stay current on trade strategies
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is highly preferred
