Our people are Shaping Industry from the Inside.About the JobThe Controls Technician/Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and maintaining all plant equipment. Primary responsibilities include the design, sourcing, installing, and implementation of electronic equipment as well as PLC programming.Responsibilities* Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues with production equipment.* Recommend and maintain electrical and electronic spare parts for production equipment.* Improve processes with electrical and electronic design modifications.* Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment modifications as well as equipment failures.* Oversight of electronic component repair and to be able to recommend outsourcing when needed.* Maintain and update calibration data to satisfy accuracy requirements.* Perform routine maintenance on production equipment as well as support infrastructure and facilities as required.* Train other team members on electronic devices when required.* Assists production team with operational tasks as needed or when maintenance activities are not going on.* Each associate is responsible for following the guidelines and intentions of the Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies by performing quality work while minimizing waste.* Other duties, as assigned.Qualifications* Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to use all necessary test equipment.* Must be able to work as a part of a team in a team-based work environment.* Experience with electronics and PLC programming.* NFPA 70E Arc flash safety training preferred.* First aid certification preferred.* Valid electrical license is a plus.* US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.Successful candidates will have strengths in the following:* Attention to Detail* Analytical thinking* Integrity* Technical reading comprehension* Complex problem solving* Troubleshooting* Systems evaluationWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
