Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Pharmacy Technicians! This role is work from home and all equipment is provided. Please note you must reside within Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or New Mexico for consideration.
Type: 9-month contract beginning in August, with opportunity to extend or full-time offer
Schedule: 8-hour shift between 5am and Midnight CST, 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s)
Pay: $18.95 to $21.70 an hour
- Training for the first four weeks is Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm CST. This training time is subject to change.
- Shift after training is an 8-hour shift with one-half or an hour lunch. Candidate must be available as early as 5am and as late as midnight.
- Candidate will work 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s).
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:
- Respond to Prior Authorization Requests: Answer inbound calls (up to 50 to 70 calls per day) from providers/members and electronic inquiries related to prior authorizations (PAs) with a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service. Demonstrate the ability to accurately capture and verify information provided by prescribers, members, and pharmacies to support timely and compliant medication access decisions.
- Process and Review Authorization Requests: Efficiently process PA requests using multiple clinical information systems and platforms. Evaluate requests against established clinical criteria, formulary coverage, benefit design, and applicable regulations to determine coverage eligibility, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution.
- Support Clinical and Pharmacy Operations: Collaborate with pharmacists by gathering and summarizing member-specific clinical data necessary for consultations and coverage determinations. Ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication to support appropriate clinical review and outcomes.
- Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Adhere to all internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, URAC), and quality assurance standards when handling sensitive member and prescriber data. Regularly update records, audit trails, and member accounts in real-time to reflect accurate PA statuses and outcomes.
- Problem Resolution and Escalation: Proactively identify and resolve issues or complaints related to coverage, benefit interpretation, or prior authorization delays. Escalate complex cases appropriately, maintaining a member-first approach and striving for service excellence.
- Data Entry and Workflow Management: Maintain sharp attention to detail while entering data into electronic systems. Prioritize workload based on urgency and established service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and consistent processing of all requests.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Interface professionally with physicians' offices, pharmacies, members, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication, resolve barriers to medication access, and uphold high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Active National (PTCB) and/or State Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure
- 6 + months of Customer Service/Customer Relations with Healthcare professionals
- Able to work 5am to 12 midnight with ability to work flexible hours, including OT and weekends
- Must live within Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or New Mexico for consideration
