Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven and detail-orientedAccounting Managerto lead our accounting team in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and driving operational excellence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, and a passion for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional accounting, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, includingAccounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, project accounting, and general ledger functions.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals throughperformance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.
• Providetraining, mentorship, and leadershipto foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Manage themonth-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and approval of journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis ofmonthly financial statements; collaborate with business unit leaders to address inquiries and provide insights.
• Review account reconciliations and support staff in resolving discrepancies.
• Identify and implementprocess improvements and automation initiativesto enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
• Supportexternal audits, tax engagements, and system implementationsas needed.
• Ensure compliance withregulatory requirements, internal controls, and accounting policies.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners to analyzebudget and forecast variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum of5 years of accounting experience(public accounting or private industry)
• Strong knowledge ofU.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated experience inteam leadership and staff development
• Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and communicationskills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience withconstruction accounting, including job costing and WIP reporting
• Familiarity withaccounting automation toolsand process optimization
• Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite; experience withMicrosoft Dynamics 365is a plus
