General Description
Operation of sonographic equipment, perform and communicate results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Must obtain RVT (registered vascular technologist) within 18 months of hire. As a registered vascular technologist (RVT), the focus in our Neurology Departmentwhether for inpatients or outpatientsis on neurovascularstudies, which include:
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Level I
Level II & III
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirementsfor registry/certification or currently holds required registry orcertification.
ExperienceNone required beyond above education/certification requirements.
Level I - Must obtain ARDMS certifications as required by each entity within 18 months of employment.
Level II - Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer.
Level III A minimum of 4 years' experience with in specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion.
Degrees , Licensures, CertificationsARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.BLS certificationBLS certification. Must obtain RVT within 18 months of hire
