All employees are required to successfully pass a drug screening test prior to employment; random drug screening tests may be administered post-employment.Job Summary:The Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard, ensuring compliance with local building codes. This role involves interpreting technical designs, selecting appropriate materials, and executing various carpentry tasks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Analyze blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and dimensions for fabrication.- Select appropriate types of lumber or other materials based on specifications.- Install cabinets, bases, trims, shelving, doors, and hardware accurately.- Prepare layouts and mark cutting and assembly lines on materials.- Shape materials to specified measurements using hand and power tools.- Assemble and fasten materials together utilizing nails, dowel pins, or adhesives.- Verify the accuracy and precision of constructed structures using leveling tools, such as plumb bobs and carpenter's levels.- Make fine adjustments to cabinets and doors to ensure smooth and proper operation.- Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, cabinets, countertops, and finish hardware.- Specialize in molding and trim work, including door and window casings, baseboards, and ornamental designs.- Maintain focus on tasks and adhere to project deadlines.- Perform related tasks as assigned by management.Supervisory Responsibilities:- This position holds no supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications:To be successful in this position, candidates must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
