Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 T-7 Aircraft Maintenance Technician C's for a contract opportunity in Edwards AFB, CA. 100% onsite BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. o Regular and predictable attendance is required. o 5-7 years' experience in aircraft maintenance with a focus on troubleshooting and repair. o Experience leading and supervising others in aircraft maintenance tasks. o Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed. o Experience troubleshooting aircraft malfunctions to the component level. o Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements. o Understanding of quality management systems and adherence to established processes and procedures. o Familiarity with electronics, electrical schematics, and circuits. o Experience working on Development Programs or Flight Test Programs is preferred. o Experience with DoD systems, including AFTO 781 forms and IMDS, is desirable. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The T-7 Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting T-7 aircraft systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical data. The role includes, but is not limited to: o Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot T-7 aircraft systems, including comm/nav and instrument systems, and mechanical/electrical components. o Utilize technical orders, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose faults and perform repairs at the component level. o Operate ground support equipment and perform maintenance on assigned aircraft. o Open/remove aircraft panels, excluding those requiring Command and Response, to perform maintenance and troubleshoot issues. o Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and tool control programs. o Complete necessary records manually and electronically per USAF and company policies. o Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, using manuals and technical data, in compliance with maintenance directives. o Provide on-the-job training to less experienced personnel and assist in mentoring junior technicians. o Participate in and follow up on inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks as outlined in the maintenance program. o Perform other duties as required. o Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. Security Responsibilities: o Must comply with all company information systems security policies and procedures. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Experience building relationships with US government personnel is a plus. o Experience working on Development Programs and Flight Test Programs. o Experience developing and fostering relationships with US government personnel. o Familiarity with DoD systems, including AFTO 781 forms and IMDS. o Experience in quality management systems and aviation regulatory compliance. o Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: o Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. o Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and under equipment. o Capable of working with aircraft components in a shop floor environment, exposed to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. o Exposure to loud noises, airborne particles, and extreme heat may occur. o Must be able to perform both domestic and international travel as required. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.). WORK HOURS: Full-Time/First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM ADDITIONAL: OT will be required.
