SUMMARYAs a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified area Machinist.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activitiesEnsure an accurate router accompanies all work ordersInspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.Assist Lead person as neededStart and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.Meet job standard times consistently and communicate to lead or supervisor when not able to make times.Clean and maintains machines, working area, tooling and parts in optimal production condition.Ensure company procedures and best machine practices are always followed and are in placeComply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practicesPerform additional related duties as assignedRequirementsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED2-4 years' experienceAbility to speak basic English languageAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsPHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOBVisual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of partsHearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate actionFrequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floorFrequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsWORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOBMust be able to lift and lower 30-50 lbs.High noise levels from operating machinesPhysical hazards from moving equipment and machine partsBreathing fumes, dust, and mistSkin exposure to oils and cutting fluidsSAFETYComply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practicesKnowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE
