Position SummaryJob DescriptionFinisher 2 Revision Date: July 1, 2023Job Code: 9021MC Job Grade: 02SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position is responsible for performing any job duties required in the finish / assembly area and a minimum of one higher skill level position associated with the area. Jobs include all Finisher 1 jobs as well as Inspector and Hydrotesting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.* Follow required instructions for assembly, packaging, processing and inspection of final product.* Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.* Assure all documents required are properly completed.* Assure all packages and disks are labeled properly.* Assure final product meets customer requirements.* Must use frequent physical effort to perform job duties.* Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers* Monitor and follow all safety preventative measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelinesDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.* Participate on project teams, star point teams and kaizen events when needed.* Attend and participate in all training opportunities required to develop in the roleResponsibilitiesORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:* Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader* Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with the processes & equipmentWORKING CONDITIONS:The employee may be subject to:* High noise levels from operating machines and equipment* Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels* Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high visibility clothing)* Standing is required for extended periods of time.
