Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for collecting, reconciling, and recording all payroll data with minimal supervision. Additionally, the Senior Accountant is responsible for interpreting the results to identify trends, areas for improvement, and make recommendations on payroll-related activity for all brands and subsidiaries within the organization.
Responsibilities:
This position is based in Louisville, KY. In office to start then hybrid schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee/upload automated payroll data weekly
- Work closely with Payroll and IT departments to ensure processed payrolls are accounted for appropriately and any payroll clearing variances are identified and resolved weekly
- Work closely with HRIS to ensure PTO expense is accounted for appropriately and any material roll forward variances are identified and resolved; create data analysis reporting for brand review by Directors with notation of changes
- Reconcile all payroll and benefit related balance sheet accounts to multiple external systems and data sources, researching variances as needed on a monthly and annual basis
- Provide payroll data analysis for brand review and work closely with Directors and brand accountants on any additional reporting or variance resolution
- Identify automation opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives
- Field various ad-hoc requests for data and reporting
- Cross-train and provide back up for Bonuses
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of relevant accounting experience required with at least 1 year in payroll accounting preferred#CH500
