Job Details

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Entertainment Manager and/or Marketing Director, the Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for administering various Treasure Island and venue designed programs to support local production & touring personnel.
  • Maintain back of house hospitality expectations & backstage division-wide goals.
  • The Hospitality Coordinator will meet & greet the tours upon arrival to the venue and be available to assign dressing rooms and is the point of contact for all hospitality needs.
  • Coordinate show day runners for assigned duties at direction of Artist Tour Managers
  • Assist in sourcing items to fulfill Artist riders including food, drink, and other items necessary for the Artist's performance.
  • The Hospitality Coordinator will check dressing rooms periodically through the day to tidy up and collect any towels to be washed and refresh as needed.
  • Partner with Treasure Island Food and Beverage Department to ensure the Artists rider requirements are met and the culinary experience exceeds the artist's and touring personnel's expectations.
  • Will be the backstage brand ambassador and the face of the service culture program.
  • Research best practices and collaborate with the Artist Services team & Venue Entertainment Manager to develop venue opportunities to increase engagement, increase artist/crew satisfaction.
  • Work with Entertainment Manager & Food & Beverage Director's Catering Teams to help facilitate advances.
  • Pre and post show walk through with checklist to make ready all backstage Artist & Touring crew areas and notate any damage to be repairs.
  • Oversee all dressing room and bus stock, including after-show meal coordination.
  • In coordination with the Casino Marketing Director, Finance Director, Entertainment Manager and Production Managers, co-manage any applicable backstage program budget and process vendor invoices.
  • Coordinate Artist Logistics to and from Treasure Island Resort & Casino as needed via an outside transportation vendor.
  • Work with Hotel Group Specialist to secure Hotel Room Blocks for Entertainers and execute Rooming lists, arrivals, and special requests pertaining to hotel accommodations.

Knowledge and Certification, Skills and Abilities

Required Knowledge and Certification:

  • National Live event experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of contract review, rider, and other legal documents

Preferred Knowledge and Certification:

  • 1 or more years of backstage/production/hospitality experience.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a comparable role.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to maintain composure, and maintain a high level of discretion around high profile artists/guests and work in an often hectic and loud environment.
  • Must have strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Possess a positive outlook, strong communication skills (both verbal and digital) and the ability to engage others.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience finding creative solutions.
  • Has a natural interest in helping others and a heart for service.
  • Position requires constant physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for long periods throughout the day
  • Must have the ability to independently lift 25+pounds routinely
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

Working Environment

  • Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing / strobe lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke, and outdoors for guest events
  • Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • May occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • High volume direct public contact
