This individual will begin by handling physical material movement, staging, and prep work and will gradually take on more direct involvement with the paint booth process.This is a physically demanding position based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, where extreme temperatures and loud working conditions are the norm. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to grow into a more technical role within the paint department.Key Responsibilities:Material Handling & Warehouse SupportMove, load, and stage raw materials and finished parts throughout the facility.Safely operate forklifts, power buggies, and hoists to transport heavy components.Maintain a clean, organized work environment to support continuous workflow.Follow all safety protocols related to lifting, transporting, and handling heavy materials.Paint Line Preparation & SupportPrep parts for paint by plugging holes, taping, and applying protective measures as needed.Hang and space parts appropriately on the paint line, selecting correct hooks for each item.De-hang painted parts, stack and package them to avoid damage or surface defects.Perform basic visual inspections for paint coverage issues, runs, or surface inconsistencies.Clean and maintain paint line tools, prep areas, and support equipment.Assist with equipment startup/shutdown and minor preventative maintenance tasks.Record paint-related data such as wastewater discharge and pH levels when requested.Communication & CollaborationCommunicate clearly with leads, coworkers, and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.Follow verbal and written work instructions and escalate any issues to leadership.Support team efforts by assisting in other warehouse or production tasks as needed.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.One year of forklift experience in a warehouse or production environment.Must pass and maintain Multiquip Forklift Certification.Ability to read and understand basic instructions, work orders, and safety documents.Comfortable using hand tools, air-powered tools, and hoists.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, ratios, percentages).Ability to apply sound judgment and follow instructions independently.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:This position is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with exposure to heat in summer, cold in winter, loud noise, and occasional contact with industrial chemicals.Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift.Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, and handling of materials.Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly without assistance.Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders to operate tools and equipment.Exposure to hydraulic fluid, fuel, cleaners, and paint-related substances.Hearing protection is required due to high noise levels from production equipment.Compensation & Benefits:Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:30pmPay wage: $19.00-$23.00/hour DOECompetitive compensation, including Annual Bonuses & Merit Increases 9-11 paid Holidays (Depending on Work Schedule 5/8 or 4/10)Generous Paid Time Off - Accrues up to 4 weeks per year Paid volunteer Time OffPaid Parental LeaveExcellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employee that starts the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire date including:Individual: $500 Deductible/$3,000 OOPFamily: $1,500 Deductible/$6,000 OOPRetirement Planning - 401(k) plan including Discretionary Company MatchTuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 a yearEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramMultiquip provides competitive pay and benefits and supports our employees through our values of safety, integrity and respect.Employment is subject to pre-employment physical, drug-screening and background investigation.
