JOB DUTIES Directly accountable for preventing hospital acquired infections related to hand-hygiene performance of self and staff Collaborates with OR scheduling to obtain patient information Obtains pertinent information on initial assessment phone interview Utilizes information obtained and notifies appropriate departments of pertinent information (i.e.Diabetic, family history of MH,etc.) Performs venipuncture and 12 lead EKGS as needed Demonstrates accepted standards of aseptic technique when performing venapuncture/EKGs Reports critical Lab, Radiology, EKG + ABG values to MD/Anesthesiologist according to policy Demonstrates a working knowledge of the scheduled procedure Effectively coordinates scheduled SDS patient care Collaborates with doctors office's in obtaining pertinent patient medical information EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Assoc . Degree or Diploma Nursing School BSN degree encouraged Current NJ Nursing License BLS - Certified by AHA
