Position Name: Medical Lab Technician Location: Panama City, FL 32405 Shift Differentials: Evenings ($1.45); Nights ($2.50) Sign on: $15K Available Shifts: Days (7A-7:30P with Rotating Weekends) Nights (7P-7:30A with Rotating Weekends) In this role you will:

• Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.
• Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results.
• Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Medical laboratory experience preferred. As long as candidate has state license as generalist (or qualifies for one)- they are willing to train based on any years of experience had.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
• MLT, ASCP, CPT, or AMT certification required.
• State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician License.

• Who does this position report to? Laboratory Manager and Supervisor
• How long has it been open? All have been open for 9 months.
• What are the qualities that you like and dislike in candidates that you have seen so far? Candidates need to have a strong foundation in lab. Even if they are a new grad, those who have done clinicals or worked as a lab assistant/complex specimen processor is something we look for.
