Job Opportunity: Engineering Associate

Geocomp is seeking a full-time Engineering Associate with a geotechnical background to join our team of highly skilled engineers in our Acton, MA, or New York, NY office. Job Expectations

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of professionals in our Consulting division, working on complex geotechnical projects and providing technical expertise to exceed client expectations. You will interact routinely with colleagues and clients to deliver on time, within scope and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Review project documents for conformity to company standards and quality assurance.
  • Under guidance from Project Managers:
  • Plan project scope of work.
  • Prepare calculations, identify expertise gaps, and take ownership of knowledge development.
  • Draft specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Develop new techniques or improve existing processes, materials, or products.
  • Attend conferences and networking events.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Qualifications and Skills
    • EIT certification and ability to obtain PE license.
    • Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering; PhD preferred.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
    • Effective time and people management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong client interface skills with a commitment to service.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% and spend time on project sites during critical phases.
