Shift Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Weekend coverage: One or more Saturdays/Sundays per month Description Understands and follows established performance standards, policies, and behaviors. Develops and submits departmental goals and objectives annually. Handles interviewing, hiring recommendations, evaluations, counseling, and termination recommendations in alignment with organizational policy and departmental needs. Schedules staff in accordance with budgeted staffing plans and facility needs to ensure safe patient care and timely discharges. Prepares operating and capital budgets and provides monthly variance reports. Ensures departmental compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards. Oversees staff orientation, annual competency assessments, and ongoing education. Compiles and evaluates monthly performance improvement studies, recommending necessary actions. Maintains current managerial skills through participation in continuing education and collaborative leadership development. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and submits required reports. Attends management and leadership meetings. Conducts staff meetings when necessary and documents minutes for reference. Utilizes multiple communication methods to ensure clarity and follow-up. Complies with all safety standards for staff and patients. Serves on various committees, task forces, and special projects as assigned. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with RN License required Master's Degree in Nursing preferred Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in an acute hospital setting Prior experience as a case manager required Knowledge of healthcare financials, regulations, and payer-related issues required Familiarity with local, state, and federal programs required Experience with Milliman/InterQual criteria required PRI/Screen certification preferred C.C.M. certification preferred Proficiency in computer skills required
