The Senior Software Engineer – Enterprise Improvement can be chargeable for actively driving & managing expertise engagement at early phases with Finish Customers, Consultants, & Technology-driven options around key Business verticals, Proof of Ideas, Cybersecurity Solutions, Strategic and Tactical resolution developments, analysis, and driving buyer's technical desires during the bidding phases of the sales process. They're also known as Resolution Architects who act because the buyer's key technical adviser and resolution advocate, providing front-line support to shoppers developing and deploying Automation and Controls options within the Discrete Automation Group India portfolio.

– Commercial –

This position involves automating, deploying, and migrating customer solutions to Emerson platforms, providing solutions for Core Controls and Cybersecurity. It also includes Channel training, skillset development of channels and sales teams, resolving key channel issues during execution, and working closely with the Vertical Sales team to engage early on Tender specifications and scope.

On this Position, Your Tasks Will Be

• Support Sales in establishing new marketing strategy development and techno-commercial deployment across India.
• Design and architect cybersecurity tools and solutions in process control systems.
• Understand and address customer cybersecurity concerns, requirements, and deliver cybersecurity solutions.
• Develop Digital Transformation and IIoT solutions with hardware and software portfolios for OEMs, End Users, EPC Clients, Discrete Business, and internal opportunities.
• Manage Customer Presentation & Demo activities, providing exceptional expertise to prospects. Collaborate daily with sales teams on solutions, implementation, Proof of Ideas, BOM creation, and Technical Sessions.
• Build strong technical expertise on new PLC platforms (Emerson RX3i, RSTi, VersaMax, etc.), PAC Machine Version, Movicon.NExT, RTU, Drives & Servo + Motion platforms, advanced applications, machine learning, and key features to add value to overall solutions.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, with a travel requirement of about 50%.
• Engage through all phases of customer interaction, including evaluation, solution design, and implementation.

Who You Are

You support the Sales team and work closely with the Business Development Manager. You relate comfortably across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies, especially in engineering new product solutions.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency with RX3i PLC series, VersaMax, Movicon.NExT SCADA, MS SQL.
• Experience with IIoT and Digital Transformation.
• Experience in troubleshooting, site commissioning, and supporting Channel partners on engineering, development, or site-related challenges.

For This Position, You Will Need

• At least 4 years of proven experience in enterprise development or engineering roles within Industrial Automation is preferred.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to manage complexity.
• Customer-focused, stakeholder balancing, action-oriented, and able to drive engagement.
