About the job Mail Services Associate About the Role: As a Mail Services Associate, you will be responsible for all aspects of the mailroom operations for a building or campus. This job is part of the Office Operations function. The role provides office support to a client, business function, or individual contributor. What Youll Do:
- Audit delivered items against delivery invoices.
- Approve or reject deliveries based on inspections and check for contraband.
- Ensure all packages received and delivered arrive the same day or notify the consignee of next-day arrival.
- Deliver mail, packages, copy products, and stationery according to the daily schedule.
- Ensure all shipped packages are adequately protected.
- Process shipment requests with vendors and inform package owners of arrangements.
- Apply correct postage and required identification to outgoing mail and packages.
- Stock copy rooms and serve as the initial point of contact for copier fleet needs.
- Check and replenish mail and postage supplies daily.
- Answer standard inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Analyze data to identify and solve complex problems, possibly recommending new techniques.
- Influence own team and other related teams.
- Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
What Youll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED with 34 years of related experience.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- A comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and job-related concepts.
- Ability to communicate unusual or complex content in a logical and concise manner.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
