Position Overview

This is a skilled role for an experienced Project Manager overseeing large civil construction projects. Responsibilities include coordination with subcontractors and crews, scheduling equipment and labor, and managing project costs.

Wage Range

$75,000 to $90,000 annually, dependent on experience. This is a salaried position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
  • Prepare project schedules and detailed plans based on final designs.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and team members to resolve issues and plan schedules.
  • Maintain accurate job cost and pay quantity data.
  • Measure and compile quantities for pay estimates.
  • Participate in bidding processes.
  • Manage project scheduling, resource allocation, and oversee project execution.
  • Review daily cost sheets for accuracy and budget compliance, reporting discrepancies.
  • Review project plans with the foreman before startup to ensure readiness.
  • Support estimating by providing feedback and field measurements.
  • Ensure foreman's job quantities are correct for invoicing.
  • Willingness to travel for remote projects.
  • Proficiency with laptops or similar devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience preferred.
Work Requirements
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Adhere to safety protocols.
  • Willing to work off-hours, nights, weekends, and travel over 50%.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use.
  • Mathematical skills including calculations and graph interpretation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under stress.

Physical Requirements

Frequent sitting, climbing, and hand use; occasional standing, walking, crawling, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and mechanical hazards is possible.
