Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Supervisor for our Carton team. This role involves overseeing departmental tasks related to safety, quality, and efficiency, contributing to strategic business objectives. The position requires a proactive leader who can effectively engage, coach, and motivate employees, with a focus on continuous improvement in production lines. Tropicana seeks a critical thinker with excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Safety Manager to meet safety goals and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Providing comprehensive safety training to staff.
  • Enforcing safety rules and providing performance feedback.
  • Championing quality and safety systems, holding employees accountable.
  • Maintaining HACCP, Sanitation, Weight Control, and Quality programs, ensuring scheduled quality checks.
  • Conducting line audits to verify equipment operation and compliance, and monitoring performance for corrective actions.
  • Using continuous improvement tools to analyze quality issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Analyzing production processes with root cause analysis to develop improvement strategies.
  • Ensuring adherence to production plans, managing material flow, and reporting on OEE and Throughput Efficiency.
  • Supporting SAP as a Super User across shifts.
  • Assessing staff training needs and developing training programs.
  • Holding regular meetings with Team Leads for feedback and development.
  • Leading and mentoring a diverse team to foster collaboration and accountability.

The Perfect Blend: Experience

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in a consumer product environment, preferably with TPM or lean manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and automation tools like Power BI, Tableau, Zarpac, and SQL is advantageous.
  • Supporting carton-packaging and product trials, resolving labor issues with HR.
  • Participating in grievance meetings or contract negotiations as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including special projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, engineering, operations management, or supply chain.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Bradenton, FL, and onsite daily at the Tropicana manufacturing plant.
