General Summary: Significant contributor to the success of the Office of Admission and the Enrollment Division and plays a crucial leadership role in elevating admission campus visit and event experiences to the public and within the Agnes Scott community. Serves as the lead and primary contact for creating, coordinating, and executing campus visit and event experiences for the Office of Admission and the Enrollment Division to aid in recruitment and yield efforts. Reports to the Director of Admission and works with Enrollment Division team members, prospective students and their supporters, high school guidance counselors, and campus partners in yielding best fit students to Agnes Scott College.

This position does not include a recruitment territory, however, they will be responsible for occasionally conducting information sessions for campus visitors and assisting with admission and scholarship review.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Strategizes for campus visits and event programming and assists in managing the Elizabeth Kiss Welcome Center and the Office of Admission visit calendar.
  • Conceptualizes, plans, and directs all admission-related in-person and virtual events, such as, but not limited to, on and off campus receptions, open houses, student and counselor group visitations.
  • Arranges events logistics such as, but not limited, campus partner involvement, facilities set-up, catering, transportation, event programming and speakers.
  • Manages personnel for the Admission Ambassador program and collaborates with the Admission Ambassador counseling chair(s) in creating ambassador program training and delegating event needs.
  • Supervises and manages the Admission Experience Fellow position.
  • Develops and sustains relationships with vendors, volunteers (students, alumni, faculty and staff) and campus and community stakeholders.
  • Operates within the approved event programming budget along with the director of admission.
  • Utilizes office-wide CRM, Slate, to interpret relevant campus visit and event data, launch and manage event setup, and create event templates and communications.
  • Compiles weekly campus visit and event reporting in addition to extensive mid-year and annual reports for reporting line
  • Assists in training and mentoring admission staff.
  • Supports the admission team with hosting campus visit information sessions, admission application review, and scholarship evaluations.
  • REQUIREMENTS

    Education: BA/BS in related occupational field of study.

    Experience: 5+ years work and/or internship experience in admission/enrollment management, event management, or a related field with other employers.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Event management experience preferred, preferably in a higher education setting.
    • Slate and/or other CRM experience preferred.
    • Some ability to use G-Suite applications, Microsoft applications, and Canva.
    • Highly motivated, results oriented and goal driven.
    • Good judgment and the ability to work collegially as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a workplace that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
    • Proven success working with a variety of people and personalities, managing diverse tasks simultaneously, organizing, strategizing and decision-making.
    • Self-starter and able to multi-task with moderate supervision.
    • Ability to communicate effectively

    Other:

    • Irregular evening and weekend hours and overtime required on a regular basis, depending on events, projects and travel.
    • Occasional opportunities for remote work.
    • CIVSA, SACAC, and NACAC memberships provided upon hiring.
    • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
