Associate Attorney – Workers' Compensation

Position Overview:We are seeking motivated and experienced Associate Attorneys to join our client's Workers' Compensation practice. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in workers' compensation law, excellent advocacy skills, and a passion for representing injured workers or employers in all aspects of claims and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in workers' compensation hearings, trials, mediations, and appeals before administrative agencies and courts.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Advise clients on case status, legal rights, and obligations.
- Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in pre-trial conferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation in compliance with firm policies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in New York State (required).
- 1-5+ years of experience in workers' compensation law preferred; open to candidates with related litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of New York workers' compensation statutes, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to client service and professional ethics.
Compensation & Benefits:
