Position: Investment Management AssociateLocation: Chicago, ILExperience: 3-4 YearsWe are representing a prestigious law firm's Investment Management Group, which is seeking an associate to join its Chicago office. Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in advising on 1940 Act registered funds and business development companies. The firm has been a key player in major developments within the investment management space, advising on structuring, financing, operation, and regulation of investment companies, including closed-end funds, mutual funds, ETFs, and BDCs.Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in investment management law, specifically related to 1940 Act registered funds or business development companies.
• High level of academic achievement.
• Experience in a peer law firm's investment management group is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with a focus on client service and teamwork.

What You'll Do

• Work on regulatory advice for investment companies, including structuring, offerings, and operational strategies.
• Collaborate with M&A colleagues on asset manager M&A transactions.
• Participate in an enhanced mentor program aimed at providing support during professional transitions.
