We are looking for an intelligent, competent, and adaptable attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Pluralsight teams. This position will primarily support Pluralsight's People Team and will provide counsel on a broad range of employment-related matters, including the following:Recognize and address potential risks and legal issues while providing consultative advice and practical solutions to Pluralsight on a broad and varied array of HR and employment law issues, such as: performance management, performance documentation, discipline, termination, legal compliance, layoffs, employment agreements, waiver and release agreements, non-compete agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.Handle legal matters and projects ranging from basic to complex. Including, but not limited to, workers' compensation, termination of employment, harassment, workplace safety, employee classification and overtime issues, and privacy rightsConsult on employee benefits issuesMaintain a working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulationsCoordinate with outside counsel with regard to foreign employment laws and regulationsAs necessary, evaluate, analyze, and respond to employment-related claimsCoordinate employment-related training for management and for a global teamReview employee handbooks from a legal perspectiveThis position will also support the legal team, as available and as needed, in other substantive areas. Additional duties may be assigned to include other substantive legal areas as necessary.Basic Qualifications:5 - 7 years of substantive employment law experience with a corporate legal department or a nationally recognized law firmJuris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school and current membership in good standing in at least one state barGood communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills within and across departments and externally; must be proactive in providing counsel to clients.Sound judgment; ability to clearly make reasoned recommendations; ability to cross think and determine who should be kept informed.Self-starter with good business sense and a sense of urgency, honesty and fairness.Good team player, calm under pressure.Preferred Qualifications:In-house experience with managing international employment law issuesIn-house experience with a technology company Additional InformationBe yourself.
