- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Own client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and main point of contact.
- Drive business growth, helping to shape marketing strategy and bring in new projects.
- Uphold excellence, mentoring junior staff and enforcing quality standards.
- Manage performance across financial, technical, and personnel metrics.
What You'll Be DoingProject Leadership & Oversight
- Manage multiple land development projects from concept to completion.
- Develop project budgets and schedules; ensure financial performance and client satisfaction.
- Oversee design reviews and quality assurance.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers and technicians.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and performance reviews.
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Serve as the face of FEI to clients - nurturing relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Participate in strategic planning and marketing initiatives to grow our client base.
Financial & Operational Management
- Oversee work-in-progress and monthly billing cycles.
- Manage collections and contribute to forecasting and resource planning.
We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Experience: 10+ years in land development engineering, with at least 3 in a leadership or management role.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina; valid NC driver's license.
- Tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite; Ajera experience is a plus.
