Metallurgist - Cleveland, Ohio - JOB 25-01380Salary Range: $120k - $140k Permanent Position with BenefitsTravel: 25% to 30% U.S. & CanadaCleveland, Ohio area Metal Recycler has an immediate need for an experienced Metallurgist who has a background in Aluminum Recycling. The Metallurgist will initiate, develop, and implement state of the art technologies for application to the aluminum recycling and melting processes.REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred Candidate would be the Metallurgy Technology Expert on all subject areas of aluminum metallurgy and aluminum melting and recycling.
- Strong process improvement experience with high temperature systems for metallurgical and/or chemical process systems for industrial manufacturing.
- Initiate, develop and implement state of the art technologies for application to the aluminum recycling and melting processes.
- Perform Analysis of metallurgical processes with mass balance, thermal, kinetic and laboratory evaluation tools.
- Lead and support plant and corporate cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems.
- Introduction issues plus address customer inquiries.
- Knowledgeable with the one or more of the following: Rotary Furnace Operation, Burner Technology, Environmental Testing, Reverb Furnace Operation and/or Salt Flux Usage and Properties.
- Provide customer support, investigate and provide manufacturing solutions, develop training programs, be a resource for aluminum questions, prepare and deliver presentations.
- Member of or familiar with the Aluminum Association.
- Solid verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
