Certified Athletic Trainer II - Community Liaison

MedStar Health is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer II - Community Liaison to join our team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network. The ideal candidate is a certified athletic trainer with competencies outlined by NATABOC practice domains.
Athletic Trainers are highly qualified healthcare professionals collaborating with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The Certified Athletic Trainer II/Community Liaison delivers comprehensive sports medicine services, educates community members about MedStar Sports Medicine, and provides feedback on community needs and perceptions to aid in marketing and referral planning.

Primary Duties:
Initiate referral processes to navigate outreach through MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, increasing service volumes via marketing resources and MedStar Care Connect.Seek new business and growth opportunities for MedStar Sports Medicine, including contracts, partnerships with schools, teams, clubs, and programs, and solidify these opportunities through agreements and contracts. Represent MedStar at meetings and marketing events.Serve as a liaison among MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, community organizations, parents, athletes, physicians, and physical therapists to enhance relationships, promote program growth, and provide high-quality health care. Advocate for safe youth sports participation, injury prevention, and research.Develop and monitor educational programs for community organizations, including seminars, athletic development, and screenings. Provide athletic medicine coverage at affiliated events such as camps, tournaments, and health fairs.Prevent, recognize, evaluate, and treat athletic injuries and illnesses. Maintain administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, reporting, and compliance. Promote professional growth through ongoing education and participation in relevant forums.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training from an accredited institution.
- 3-4 years of experience practicing as a certified athletic trainer.
- Certification as an ATC by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Eligibility for ATC licensure in Maryland, Virginia, and practice in D.C.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience preferred.
- 1-2 years within MedStar National Rehabilitation Network preferred.

This position offers a hiring range of $60,632 - $107,494.
