Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in Wilmington - New Hanover County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.75 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 3240 Burnt Mill Dr, Suite 7, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Description Of WorkThis is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). This position is located at 3240 Burnt Mill Dr, Suite 7, Wilmington, NC 28403.The duties of this role include the employee working with DSBVR staff in the implementation and service delivery of pre-employment transition services to qualifying students with visual impairments, blindness or deaf-blindness.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities / CompetenciesNOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered. • Experience working with youth ages 14-21 years of age, school staff and providers.
• Experience in conducting outreach activities, networking, building relationships with organizations.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) efficiently in composing letters, presentations and reports.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with eligible individuals, employers, vendors, agency staff and others as required.
