Construction Quality Lead - US, Ohio - 12 Month ContractThis is a fantastic opportunity for aConstruction Quality Lead to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.Responsibilities:
- Act as an Owner's Representative for MEP and general construction quality on a large-scale pharma CAPEX project.
- Conduct and document in-field inspections, walkdowns, and installation verifications against design and spec.
- Review and ensure adherence to construction quality plans, ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, track, and drive resolution of construction deficiencies, punch list items, and non-conformance.
- Support turnover readiness from construction to CQV/Operations.
- Collaborate with EPCM, contractors, and internal teams to enforce quality standards.
- Assist with QA/QC program development, internal audits, and continuous improvement of construction processes.
- Interface with commissioning/start-up teams to ensure quality is maintained through system turnover.
Skills and Experience:
- Requires extensive of construction quality assurance/quality control experience, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences facility projects.
- Strong MEP knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)—can walk the job, flag issues, and speak the language with trades.
- Previous experience serving as an Owner's Rep or representing end-user interests during construction.
- Familiarity with clean utility systems, building envelope, HVAC, fire protection, electrical, and piping installations.
- Proven ability to lead field inspections, interpret construction drawings/specs, and enforce quality requirements.
- Comfortable managing multiple contractors, large teams, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with projects $200M+ preferred, particularly regulated/GMP facilities.
