Syntelligent is seeking a full-time Watch Analyst to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts
Anticipated Salary Range: $68,000-72,000
Responsibilities
- Providing operational situational awareness on special events, incidents, and crises affecting national PH&M security by coordinating communications and analysis.
- Developing alerts, notifications, reports, and senior leadership products.
- Ensuring PH&M threat and incident information is properly acquired, displayed, shared, and archived.
- Receiving, tracking, and coordinating RFIs and RFRs requiring HHS/SOC action.
- Utilizing and updating HHS Alert/Warning/Notification systems, including IHR and PHEIC.
- Tracking PH&M response activities and maintaining knowledge of systems supporting activity tracking.
- Providing updates and briefings to HHS leadership, preparing correspondence, and researching subjects as needed.
- Maintaining readiness for SOC transition, including COOP or devolution, during emergencies.
- Supporting exercises and potentially relocating during emergency or test scenarios.
- Participating in exercises directed by HHS and other agencies.
- Operating and moderating communication systems.
- Monitoring and logging communication capabilities.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- 2-5 years of Open-Source Intelligence Analysis experience.
- Ability to process multiple actions under stress.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Resourcefulness and ability to handle confidential information.
- Adaptability and customer service skills.
- High performance and deadline orientation in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; basic skills in Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, ArcGIS.
- Bachelor's Degree and valid Driver's License.
Security and Certifications
- Secret Clearance and HHS Suitability.
- Desired qualifications include military experience, emergency management, cybersecurity, and professional certifications.
