Summary:The Van Driver - Substitute will be responsible for transporting students and/or staff to and from designated locations. This is a substitute position and the driver will be called upon as needed.Responsibilities:- Safely operate a district-owned van in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations- Transport students and/or staff to and from designated locations within the district- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times- Maintain accurate records of daily trips, including mileage and passenger information- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate personnel- Follow all district policies and procedures related to transportationRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Valid driver's license and clean driving record- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and follow directions- Good time management and organizational skills- Familiarity with the district and surrounding area is a plus.
