The Role and ResponsibilitiesWe seek a Director with 10+ years of experience to join our large-scale Event Production & Operations Team, responsible for planning events for 50 to 5,500 guests in the sports industry. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, with strong project management and budget skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, multitasking, and time-management abilities.

  • Oversee all phases of event execution, ensuring high production value, revenue, and cost control.
  • Manage creative design with a Creative Director.
  • Troubleshoot and proactively manage event aspects pre- and onsite.
  • Oversee project milestones, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Manage P&L, expenditures, and vendor negotiations.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with staff and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and permits.
  • Develop emergency procedures and lead proposal and pitch meetings.
  • Supervise and train event staff, and maintain client relationships.

Administrative & Other Responsibilities

  • Expense reports, invoices, file storage, weekly billing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years in large-scale event production.
  • Experience managing event suppliers and budgets over $500K.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, DocuSign.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, multitasking, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of FileMaker, Keynote, SharePoint, Smartsheets, Microsoft Teams.
  • Flexibility for long days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of professional sports, especially NFL.

Travel: Up to 30-40% travel required, including holidays.
