SUMMARY:

Direct operations for a department.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate department activities in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures.
• Implement and adhere to all ISO-9000 and ISO 14001 procedures Confers with Division management to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.
• Directs and coordinates department activities.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Reviews costs and modifies programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of department.
• Directs preparation of accounting records.
• Manage senior and junior engineers in the development of recreational vehicle projects for the consumer product market from concept to production.
• Manage staff training and day-to-day activities.
• Maintain department records for projects and support audits of development systems.
• Confirm feasibility of new parts and systems engineered by others to meet required testing, cost and schedule targets.
• Periodically give project status presentations to executives according to stage gate process.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4-year college degree or equivalent experience; At least 3 years management experience
