Job Summary

The PubSec Microsoft Digital Innovation Group (MDIG) focuses on pre-sales consultative guidance, emphasizing customer value and discovery of service and sales opportunities across the Microsoft technology stack for government, healthcare, and academic sectors.

The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant (MSC) will support pre-sales activities related to Azure, including partner engagements and service offerings for these sectors. They will build relationships with customers, internal teams, and Microsoft, and assist in the adoption and education of Microsoft solutions. Continuous learning about Microsoft cloud technologies is essential.

Role Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists.
  • Identify market gaps and opportunities to increase value for SHI customers.
  • Lead internal training on Microsoft technologies.
  • Collaborate with support resources for customer communication.
  • Consult on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategies.
  • Recommend third-party solutions when appropriate.
  • Develop demos for Microsoft use cases to support sales and adoption.
  • Deliver pre-sales engagements focused on Purview, data governance, and security.
  • Achieve and maintain relevant Microsoft certifications.
  • Document opportunities within SHI tools for tracking and reporting.

Skill Level & Certifications
  • Advanced proficiency in self-study, workload management, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Defender Suite and Microsoft Purview.
  • Certifications required within 180 days of hire: Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Security Operations Analyst Associate, or Information Security Administrator Associate.
Additional Information

Travel up to 10%. Estimated annual pay: $100,000 - $190,000, depending on experience and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, and more.
