About the job Radiation Therapist Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment with precision and safety
- Monitor patient reactions and responses during treatment sessions and provide supportive care
- Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized and effective care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
- AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required
- Must hold a current Iowa Permit to Practice Radiation Therapy
- Maintain 24 hours of continuing education within a 2-year period, as required by state licensing
- Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
