Senior Land Surveyor-Full-Time
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401
What you will be doing:Development and documentation of survey standards and workflow, including those related to remote sensing, 3D scanning, and UAV terrestrial photogrammetry.
Provide oversight of staff drafting and other office tasks.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, learning and adhering to company Quality Control procedures.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of surveying techniques and have a background with the Subdivision Map Act.
Effectively and efficiently use AutoCAD and Civil3D to produce survey maps from survey data with minimal oversight.
Demonstrate strong project management skills including scope, budget and scheduling control.
Strong project delivery experience including managing the in-house team and coordinating with project consultants.
Meet quality deliverable expectations, and have experience with preparation of proposals / RFPs / SOQs, including scope and budget, exhibits for interviews and participation in interviews, and meeting with current and potential clients.
Assist in the development and decision-making as it relates to the use and workflow of both Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access.
Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field.
California professional registration.
Minimum of seven years of progressive experience, and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Extensive experience with ALTA maps, Records of Survey, Legal Descriptions, Boundary Re-establishments, and topographic surveys.
Preferred but not required to have experience using Spectra Survey Pro Field Collector software, and Trimble Business Center software and related utilities.
Valid CA driver's license required.
