Surgical Directions is seeking an Anesthesia Consultant. The Anesthesia Consultant is responsible for creating, analyzing, and communicating data, insights and comparative benchmarks of Anesthesia performance to assist our service line team and its consultants with the discovery or implementation of current state client operational, financial and clinical anesthesia performance and to assist in identification of potential improvement areas.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Ensures all data elements are collected from the client in a timely and efficient manner.
- Analyzes, organizes, and formats relevant data.
- Assists with preparing findings in a comprehensive summary report to anesthesia service line team and client. Material should be complete and organized with common methodology, consistent formatting, up-to-date templates, and sourced accordingly.
- Builds anesthesia staffing models and financial pro formas.
- Designs documents and analytical tools that assist team members and clients with reports to easily comprehend the data, such as dashboards, statistics, graphs, images, and lists.
- Assists Director or Engagement Manager with general project management tasks, including coordinating conference calls, documenting owners, action items, and next steps.
- Manages internal Surgical Directions anesthesia database.
- Standardizes deliverables and builds internal consensus under the direction of anesthesia service line leadership team.
- Provides document and communication support including but not limited to presentations, research on healthcare topics, manual updates, reports, and emails.
- Functions as the primary source of contact with clients for data-related needs.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience within the healthcare and/or consulting, specific to surgical services.
- Knowledge of the US anesthesia market and terminology.
- Travel within the U.S. up to 50%.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Work as a member of a team as well as a self-motivator with ability to work independently.
- Strong people skills and ability to engage all level of the organization (especially frontline).
