PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist the Community Support Program (CSP) Coordinator in providing outreach, case management, psycho-social development, vocational rehabilitation, and other supportive services to consumers in Bristol Bay diagnosed with a severe mental illness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Public Administration, or related human services field required.
- Must begin progress toward Division of Behavioral Health Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certification upon hire; certification required within three years.
- Prefer two years of experience in mental health, preferably with severely mentally ill clients.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development over the lifespan.
- Core clinical skills to establish rapport with clients and families.
- Must have and maintain an Alaska driver's license and the ability to operate company vehicles.
- Cultural knowledge of Native Alaskans/American Indians preferred.
