IT Operations & Support
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and internal systems to support daily operations.
- Provide hands-on technical support to staff across multiple office locations.
- Ensure the reliable operation of hardware, software, and communication systems.
Network & Systems Administration
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and VoIP systems.
- Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
Leadership & Strategy
- Supervise a small team of IT technicians and coordinate with external vendors.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in strategic planning for IT upgrades, expansions, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain system security, including anti-virus, firewalls, and regular patching.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer data protection requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Windows-based systems, networking, and server administration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and VoIP systems.
- Solid problem-solving abilities with a customer-service mindset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the telecommunications or communications industry.
- Familiarity with rural broadband technologies or small ISP environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
