JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the VP of Operations/AGM in developing the overall strategic plan and manages the daily operations of our Table Games, Slot Operations, Casino Bars, Slot Performance, and EVS teams at Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Casino Operations Managers, Poker Manager, Slot Performance Manager, EVS Supervisor
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develops and implements strategies for customer service, comping, game layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management to maximize profitability.Enhances results through staff development, training programs, and the establishment of procedures and guidelines to maintain high standards and quality service, with ongoing monitoring and adjustments as necessary.Ensures optimal operations and maintains high-quality standards during all business hours.Manages department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost and labor analyses, and oversees planning and promotions.Maintains vendor relationships, negotiates purchases of table games equipment, and oversees the implementation of new games.Hires, trains, develops, coaches, mentors, and manages employee performance, including disciplinary actions and separations.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures, maintaining the integrity of daily operations.Builds positive guest relations through visibility, soliciting feedback, and resolving concerns professionally.Represents the company positively and encourages a similar attitude among staff.Performs other duties as assigned, maintaining ethical standards and compliance with all laws and policies.Identifies compliance risks and implements measures to minimize them, fostering a culture of honesty, integrity, and responsible behavior.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred. At least 5 years of progressive experience in gaming operations, with specific experience in table games required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to analyze business strategies, budgets, P&L statements, and business plans.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with computers and software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Strong managerial, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.
- Calm and decisive decision-making skills in stressful situations.
- Availability to work multiple shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and move around the property, lift up to 25 lbs., and perform job duties in various environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues, tolerate secondhand smoke, noise, temperature variations, and other environmental factors associated with a casino setting.
