Cybersecurity Instructor for Highschool StudentsOverview: The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is partnering with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) Career Technical Education (CTE) program to deliver Cybersecurity courses at the Advanced Technical Center (ATC). The ATC is a centralized facility designed to offer high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to students from various high schools across Washington, DC. This initiative aims to equip students with essential skills for high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand careers, promoting access and equity in education by overcoming the barriers associated with equipment costs.
Position Summary: The Cybersecurity Instructor will be trained and supervised by faculty in the Department of Computer Science and IT. The instructor will teach Cybersecurity courses to high school students at the ATC. This role requires close collaboration with ATC leadership, adherence to ATC policies, and participation in professional development activities. The instructor will play a crucial role in preparing students for careers in cybersecurity by providing high-quality, hands-on education.
