Vale Group has partnered with a company in the aerospace manufacturing industry, based in Springfield, OH, who is actively searching for an experienced Director of Operations to work onsite. This executive-level position will lead the operations of the container division, driving strategic initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain while ensuring best-in-class product delivery. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in production leadership, technical manufacturing, and organizational development.

Requirements of the Director of Operations:

  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, supply chain management, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in metal fabrication processes including design, welding, assembly, and testing
  • Proficiency with MRP systems, including deployment and live implementation
  • Skilled in scheduling and coordinating operations, personnel, and workflow
  • Knowledge of product development and engineering principles
  • Familiarity with MS Office; exposure to CAD platforms such as Catia or NX is a plus

    • Responsibilities of the Director of Operations:

  • Report directly to the CEO while driving profitability through operational performance and budget oversight
  • Oversee all aspects of design engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, production, and quality operations
  • Collaborate with HR to develop job roles, performance metrics, and training initiatives for operational teams
  • Lead innovation in design and production to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery
  • Assess process efficiency, implement improvements, and scale capacity in line with business growth
  • Manage high-impact projects and analyze operational performance reports
