Job Duties:

Participate in the development and adjudication of claims for disability benefits by providing oral and written consultation to staff.

Location:

This position can be housed out of the Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston regional office.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved medical school with a degree of MD or DO and licensed by the SC Board of Medical Examiners; experience in practice of medicine through internship completion.
• Compensation: $88.35/hour

Additional Requirements:

• If invited to interview, obtain your official 10-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you.
• Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.

Individuals selected for positions with the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department's Disability Determination Service (DDS) will undergo a complete federal background investigation. A suitability determination by the Social Security Administration is necessary to access Social Security disability data, records, and systems.

• Must complete full training in Social Security policies and procedures administered by DDS.
• Jobs are located in West Columbia, Greenville, and North Charleston, SC.
