This position is based out of Sedalia, MO but will be providing dental services to our local communities in our BRAND NEW, state of the art, dental mobile unit!!
The Mobile Expanded Functions II Assistant (EFDA II) requires comprehensive knowledge of dental assisting techniques, Restorative I and Restorative II procedures. The Mobile EFDA II is expected to work to their full credentialing capabilities, including sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies, patient scheduling and billing. The Mobile EFDA II is a member of the oral health care team which includes a Dentist, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), Dental Coordinator, and a Patient Service Representative (PSR). The ability to work with persons from a wide diversity of social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds is necessary. The Mobile EFDA II must be able to creatively work with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines to achieve maximal results for the center's patient from a system of integrated primary health care. This position is outreach focused delivering care in alternative settings including but not limited to dental mobile unit, WIC, schools, and other community partners. Travel is necessary to meet operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED certificate. • Expanded Functions Restorative II Certificate required! (Or must be able to obtain the certificate within 6-months of employment) • Must have nitrous certification or be able to obtain within one year of employment. • Must maintain current CPR/BLS certification. • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
