About the job Carpenter/Laborer (Urgent Hire) Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The Carpenter/Laborer will work collaboratively with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.Perform various carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, flooring installation, and metal stud framing.Assist in masonry work and stucco application as needed.Conduct water damage restoration tasks, ensuring proper repair and restoration techniques are followed.Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of construction.Collaborate with team members on roofing projects, ensuring structural integrity and safety.Support electrical installations as required by the project scope.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.RequirementsProven experience in carpentry or related labor positions is preferred.Knowledge in painting a MUST.Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of stucco application, masonry techniques, flooring installation, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, water damage restoration, roofing, and electrical work is highly desirable.Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry tasks.Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor for extended periods.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.Join our team today if you are ready to take on new challenges in the construction field!Job Type: Full-timePay: $20 - $30 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftLicense/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Ithaca, NY (Required)Ability to Relocate:Ithaca, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
